On October 1, Bollywood actor Govinda got shot in the leg in an unexpected incident that happened early in the morning as he was getting ready to board a flight to Kolkata. The actor was reportedly by himself when the incident happened at his house.

Govinda’s nephew, actor Krushna Abhishek, shared the news of his uncle’s recovery on Instagram, writing, “Mama is feeling better now. Thank you all for your prayers and love. Wishing him a speedy recovery. God is kind. Pls let your prayers keep pouring in.”

After being hurried to Mumbai’s Criti Care Hospital right away, Dr. Agarwal provided treatment for the actor. Govinda received “8–10 stitches” following the procedure, but Dr. Agarwal told the media that he was “doing well.” The doctor further shared that the injury was two inches below the knee and that Govinda is expected to be discharged “in a couple of days.”

Reacting to the incident, actors Arshad Warsi and Arbaaz Khan expressed their concern during a trailer launch. “Unfortunate hai… this shouldn’t have happened. We all feel very bad,” said Arshad Warsi. Arbaaz Khan echoed his sentiment, adding, “What Arshad says is absolutely right, ke bahut hi unfortunate incident hai (it’s indeed a very unfortunate incident).”

Govinda is currently recovering well, and fans await his speedy recovery.
