SZA breaks silence on BBL surgery: “I’m so mad I did that

It must be tough for a public figure to admit to undergoing plastic surgery, especially when facing public scrutiny. It’s even harder to confess when a procedure goes wrong. However, SZA is keeping it real by openly expressing her regret for getting a Brazilian butt-lift.

The BBL procedure has been trendy for many years, offering women a way to achieve a curvier look, and SZA seemingly preferred that aesthetic before deciding to undergo the procedure.

In an interview with “British Vogue”, the “Love Galore” vocalist admitted, “I’m so mad I did that s**t.” She revealed that during her recovery, she gained weight due to immobility and the effort to preserve the fat. She described it as “so stupid.”l

The R&B artist continued, explaining that in 2022, she began going to the gym in hopes of developing a curvier glute. However, when her goal didn’t materialize, she seemingly opted for the BBL procedure.

Instead of feeling sad about it, she expressed how she views the situation. SZA said, “What’s done is done. But who gives a f**k? You got a BBL; you realize you didn’t need the s**t.”

The “Go Gina” singer further stated that it didn’t matter and that she might do similar things again if she desired before she dies, because “this body is temporary.”

The musician added that it wasn’t really necessary and that there were many things she needed to work on about herself, including her mental health. She thought she could address those things simultaneously, but she realized, “Wherever you go, there you’ll be.”

Even though she regrets getting the BBL, she still loves her butt because it looks “nice.” The singer expressed gratitude that, at times, it appears almost natural, but she doesn’t care about that.

The artist shared that it was something she wanted to have. She enjoyed it and loved “shaking” it.

Before this confession, she had previously mentioned getting the BBL in the title track of the “S.O.S.” album. SZA sang, “So classic, that a** so fat, it looks natural, it’s not.” She also discussed getting her body done and feeling no guilt about it in the album’s “Conceited” track.
