Renowned Pakistani writer and director Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar revealed in a recent podcast with Irshad Bhatti that he married the former wife of actor Faysal Quraishi but denied being the reason for their separation.

Recalling their first meeting, Khalil shared that he met Faysal’s then-wife twice during the filming of the popular drama serial Boota from Toba Tek Singh in Lahore. “I swear to God I was not responsible for their breakup,” he stated, adding that he even attempted to save their marriage but was unsuccessful. While he refrained from sharing details of how he eventually married her, he praised Faysal as a “wonderful actor” and revealed his admiration for Faysal’s talent during their early collaborations.

Khalil also addressed a recent scandal involving his late-night visit to a female fan’s house. He claimed he was lured there, kidnapped, and tortured. “If a fan calls me, I would do it again,” he insisted, defending his actions. He added that the Lahore High Court had rejected the bail application of Amina Arooj, the woman involved in the incident, and expressed his trust in the court to deliver justice.
