Salman Khan expresses desire to collaborate with Pakistani artists
Salman Khan, one of the biggest Asian stars, has dominated Bollywood for 30 years. His films have been major hits in Pakistan, where he enjoys a massive fan following. Many of his movies have set record-breaking box office numbers in the country. As he prepares for his Eid comeback with “Sikandar”, he is actively promoting the film.
Indian films regularly featured Pakistani actors and singers until 2016. However, political tensions escalated, leading to a ban on Pakistani stars in Bollywood. While some minor collaborations took place, Pakistani artists largely stayed away from Indian projects, and Indian films were not screened in Pakistan. Recently, several Pakistani celebrities, including Fawad Khan and Hania Aamir, have made headlines for signing Indian projects.
Salman Khan has shared his views on Pakistani artists working in India. Previously, he opposed the ban during challenging times. Once again, he has expressed his willingness to collaborate with Pakistani stars. During a press junket for his film “Sikandar”, he stated that he has no objection to Pakistani artists working in India.
FilmFare reported that Salman Khan said:
“Take the permission from here, and I am ready to work with them. Or get them a visa and take permission from the government here.”
