Sean Diddy Combs accused of assaulting woman at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club
A new lawsuit accuses Sean Diddy Combs of spiking a woman’s drink and assaulting her at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in New York City in 2006. This marks another instance where Jay-Z has been linked to Diddy. In December last year, a woman accused both rappers of drugging and raping her as a minor during an MTV VMA afterparty in 2000.
According to the source, the plaintiff, Jane Doe, alleges in the new lawsuit that Diddy spiked her drink and sexually assaulted her while shouting, “I’m Puff Daddy” and “I get what I want.”
In 2006, Jane Doe traveled to New York with her sister from Pennsylvania and visited the 40/40 Club, a popular celebrity hotspot. Later that night, Diddy and his group arrived at the club. According to the lawsuit, he ordered rounds of drinks—including champagne, tequila, and vodka—for Doe’s table.
After consuming two drinks, Doe felt dazed and sick. She went to the restroom to regain composure. A minute later, she claimed Diddy stormed into the women’s bathroom, forced open her stall, exposed himself, and physically assaulted her.
Doe claimed that Diddy grabbed her neck, forced her face toward his genitals, and groped her breasts. The suit alleged that he shouted about his power and influence while she cried for help. He reportedly said, “I have the keys to the city,” and “I know you want it.”
The alleged attack ended when a second person entered the bathroom, briefly distracting Diddy and giving Doe a chance to escape. As she ran out, she noticed one of Diddy’s bodyguards standing nearby.
Although the lawsuit did not name Jay-Z, it added to the growing legal cases against Sean Diddy Combs. In September 2024, federal prosecutors charged the rapper with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution. He pleaded not guilty and denied all allegations. His trial is set for May 5.
