- Bobby Deol's viral dance was inspired by childhood Punjab memories.
- Director Sandeep Vanga encouraged Bobby to create Abrar’s unique style.
- Animal became a blockbuster, with Bobby's role widely praised.
"As a child, I used to go to Punjab during our summer and winter holidays. At night, the men would drink, and suddenly music would play. They would dance with glasses and bottles balanced on their heads," Bobby shared. This nostalgic memory sparked the idea for the unique step, which has since become a defining moment in the film.
Recalling the shoot, Bobby admitted initial hesitation about dancing. "I told Sandeep [Vanga] I couldn’t dance with a choreographer," he said. However, the director encouraged him to create a distinctive style for his character. Bobby sought advice from co-actor Saurabh Sachdeva, and a flood of personal memories inspired him.
The move, a simple act of balancing a glass on his head while dancing, has since gone viral. Bobby described the unexpected popularity as "amazing."
Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, and Anil Kapoor. With a sequel, Animal Park, and plans for a trilogy announced, the franchise's success continues to soar.
