Depp’s bodyguard compared Depp’s use of booze and narcotics to the Pirates of the Caribbean figure Jack Sparrow, as the trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard proceeded with fascinating and surprising disclosures from witnesses.
Malcolm Connolly, Depp’s bodyguard, testified on Thursday about shifts in Depp’s demeanour when he was under the influence of a narcotic.
Connolly added, “He has an incredibly high tolerance for any drug.”
In my perspective, Jack Sparrow is more intoxicated than Johnny Depp.”
According to accounts, Depp, who played the iconic figure in the Disney franchise, was spotted chuckling after his security made the statement.
Connolly, who has been providing services to Depp and his family since 2006, also stated that the actor’s alcohol intake has significantly decreased in recent years.”
“He’s not a huge drinker any longer….I’ve only seen Johnny drunk twice in the 25 years I’ve known him,” Conolly added.
Depp launched the multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Heard in 2018 after she wrote an op-ed piece for the Washington Post in which she claimed to have endured domestic abuse throughout her marriage.
