Kareena Kapoor can’t wait to hold Raha, Riddhima sends love

On Thursday, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor revealed the name of their daughter: Raha. Raha’s name was chosen by Neetu Kapoor. Alia disclosed in the first family portrait she posted on Instagram of Raha with her parents. Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, responded to her post. Alia wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…”

“Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun,” she further added.

Social media users began congratulating Raha, Ranbir, and Alia shortly after she published the post. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Raha’s aunt, commented on the article. “Raha Kapoor can I hold you, can’t wait.” “Raha… beautiful,” added filmmaker Shashank Khaitan.

Bollywood stars including Zoya Akhtar, Athiya Shetty, Shweta Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Sonam Kapoor among others sent messages of love by using red heart emojis. Raha was dubbed a “angel baby” by Alia’s close friend Anushka Ranjan. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Soni Razdan, and Shaheen Bhatt, who are family members, also left their love and reposted the article on their Instagram Stories.

Prior to being married in April of this year, Alia and Ranbir dated for a very long period. In late June, she announced the news of her pregnancy. Raha was bestowed upon them on November 6. Sharing the news of their baby girl’s arrival, Alia had written on Instagram, “And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here…and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love – Blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!! Love love love Alia and Ranbir.” They have not yet revealed their daughter’s face yet.

The last time we saw Ranbir and Alia together was in the movie Brahmastra by Ayan Mukerji.
