K-pop supergroup BTS has secured two top positions on Japan’s Oricon music chart in the first half of the year with its fifth studio album “ARIRANG,” according to data released on Thursday.

The album ranked No. 1 on both the physical album chart, which tracks physical sales, and the combined album chart, which includes physical sales, digital downloads, and streaming performance, covering the period from December 8 to June 7.

“ARIRANG” also placed No. 3 on the digital album chart during the same timeframe.

The album has received strong international recognition, being listed among the best releases of the year’s first half by major global publications, including U.S. outlet Complex, Rolling Stone, the UK’s The Telegraph, and NME.

In the same Oricon first-half combined album rankings, K-pop groups ENHYPEN and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) also performed strongly, securing the No. 4 and No. 9 positions respectively.

On the physical album chart, ENHYPEN ranked No. 4 while TXT followed at No. 7, further highlighting the global impact of K-pop artists.
