Amber Heard has accused Johnny Depp of threatening to murder her after a fight in which she was “pounded in the back of the skull.”
This claim was made by the Aquaman star during her testimony in a Fairfax, Virginia courtroom on Thursday.
“I was attempting to hit him off me,” she told the court and jury, but “he was simply pummeling me.”
“I simply remember Johnny’s voice getting near to my ear and screaming again and over and over again.”
“I could only hear myself scream till I couldn’t anymore.” I could almost hear him say, “He’s going to murder me.”
Ms Heard claims Depp sounded “nearly weeping” and “like an animal in anguish” at the moment.
Before she finished, she continued, “I thought, ‘This is how I die.'” He’s going to murder me right now.’ I couldn’t take a breath. I recall attempting to scream but being unable to do so.”
Mr Depp’s legal team later issued a statement in response to all of the allegations, claiming that “while Ms Heard’s stories have continued to grow new and convenient details, Mr Depp’s recollections have remained exactly the same throughout the six agonising years since her first allegations were made.”
