Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are continuing to grow their creative journey with Netflix as they prepare to produce a new romantic movie for the streaming platform.

According to recent reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will serve as producers on an upcoming feature film based on The Wedding Date, a popular romantic novel written by bestselling author Jasmine Guillory.

The film will be made under their production company, Archewell Productions, with Tracy Ryerson also attached as a producer. First released in January 2018, The Wedding Date quickly became a New York Times bestseller and marked the beginning of Guillory’s much-loved romance series.

Harry and Meghan signed their Netflix deal in 2020, which was renewed earlier this year as a multi-year, first-look partnership. Over the years, the couple has worked on a wide range of projects, including documentaries, scripted shows, films, sports content, and lifestyle programs.

Some of their notable Netflix releases include Harry & Meghan, Heart of Invictus, Live to Lead, Polo, and With Love, Meghan. Most recently, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration was released, though it received mixed to negative reviews from critics.

Meghan Markle has also been involved in another Netflix project titled Masaka Kids – A Rhythm Within. The short documentary tells the inspiring story of a dance group from Uganda that has endured hardship due to famine and war, using music and dance to find strength, hope, and resilience.
