Ranganathan Madhavan is noted for portraying various parts on screen and is successful in his career, as seen by his three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. He’s made a name in Bollywood and South Indian film. The actor recently suggested which Indian films should be nominated for Oscars.
R Madhavan suggested India submit Rocketry and The Kashmir Files to the Oscars. This comes days after India chose Chhello Show as its Oscars 2023 submission.
R Madhavan and Darshan Kumaar told IndiaToday.in that Rocketry and The Kashmir Files should also be nominated. Madhavan suggested The Kashmir Files and Rocketry. “He [Darshan] is promoting The Kashmir Files, I’m promoting Rocketry,” he said.
Madhavan said Chhello Show is India’s Oscars 2023 submission. He wished them well (the team). Win and make us proud, please. It’s time to perform as well in cinema as in the nation.”
He said, “I wish India has its own Oscar.” We’re striving hard to prove something there.”
Madhavan said, “It’ll be fantastic to have the mantle, it’ll be different. The main difference with Oscar is that it affects a person’s status, money, pay, and career in the West. We should have one in India where the value increases when we win.”
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is R Madhavan’s first film. The film centres on Nambi Narayanan, portrayed by Madhavan, a scientist at ISRO. Shah Rukh Khan guest stars.
