The myth of Robin Hood ascends to unprecedented heights. MGM+ has confirmed that its critically acclaimed series “Robin Hood” will return for a second season, promising a grandiose blend of rebellion, intrigue, and heart-stopping drama.
Following a first season that enthralled global audiences, Season Two expands the story beyond Sherwood Forest, immersing viewers in the political machinations, royal intrigues, and forbidden romances that define this iconic legend.
Season One, which premiered in November and concluded on December 28, captivated audiences with its deft combination of action, strategy, and emotional resonance, leaving viewers eager for the continuation.
Season Two will consist of 10 episodes, with filming set to commence this summer at PFI Studios in Serbia bringing cinematic scale and production finesse to every frame.
Jack Patten reprises his role as Rob, the legendary Robin Hood, accompanied by Lauren McQueen as Marian, Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham, Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon, and Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine.
The series is helmed by showrunner and executive producer John Glenn, with Jonathan English and Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures also leading the creative charge.
Production oversight is provided by Carly Kleinbart and Nicole Bryant, while global distribution is managed by Lionsgate Television.
MGM+ teases that Season Two will expand the narrative canvas, transporting audiences from Sherwood to the perilous courts of England, France, and Rome.
