Tom Cruise has proven that he is a master of exciting material since the release of Top Gun Maverick. More than 30 years after the 1986 film’s debut, the sequel was made available. The action film has grown significantly in popularity and is currently raking in big bucks at the box office.

Maverick had a fantastic opening even before it was officially released on May 27, setting a new record for the actor. After some time on the success ladder, the film was able to surpass $1 billion in sales within a month. It is a huge accomplishment for Cruise because only Spider-Man: No Way Home has been able to do that since 2019.
Top Gun Maverick has earned $1.006 billion worldwide so far and is still expanding. All of the opposition, such as Chris Pratt’s Jurassic World Dominion, Lightyear, and now Elvis, have been beaten by it. With that, the Tom Cruise-starring film also became the most popular of 2022.
Tom Cruise has now reacted to Top Gun Maverick’s new accomplishment. The actor wrote on Twitter. “To all the films in release, to all the studios, and to all the exhibitors: congratulations,” the actor wrote. “Thank you for venturing out and allowing us to entertain you,” said to the audience. “See you at the movies,” he continued.

Many people claim that Top Gun 2 was instrumental in bringing back movie theatres after the COVID-19 pandemic. Tom must also share some of the blame for this. During the pandemic, the actor refused to make the movie available on OTT and instead waited for conditions to improve.
