LONDON: The strained relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry has come under renewed scrutiny after the brothers remained apart during Harry’s latest visit to the United Kingdom.
Harry returned to Britain in July for a private meeting with his father, King Charles, marking the first known face-to-face encounter between the two since the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
However, Prince William was absent from the visit, as the Prince of Wales attended the Royal Charity Polo Cup at Windsor Great Park instead.
The brothers’ separate schedules have reignited questions over when they last met in person.
William and Harry were last publicly seen together during their father’s coronation at Westminster Abbey in May 2023. Although both attended the historic ceremony, they maintained their distance, with Harry seated several rows behind William alongside his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
The televised event showed little interaction between the two brothers, and Harry left the UK shortly afterwards to return to California for his son Archie’s fourth birthday.
The princes were also reported to have crossed paths in August 2024 at the funeral of their late mother Princess Diana’s brother-in-law, Lord Robert Fellowes, in Norfolk.
Both attended the private service at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham, where family members and friends gathered to remember Fellowes, who served as private secretary to Queen Elizabeth II.
Unlike the coronation, the funeral was a private family gathering, and no photographs emerged showing the brothers together. Reports at the time suggested William and Harry did not speak or sit together during the service.

The continued absence of public appearances together has highlighted the ongoing distance between the two members of the royal family.
