Samsung Confirms that it Made a Special S Pen for the Galaxy Z Fold 3

Samsung published an editorial in its official newsroom two weeks before the next Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event, confirming its upcoming items.

Dr. TM Roh, President & Head of Samsung Electronics Mobile Communications Business, wrote the editorial, which reveals that the company will not release a new Galaxy Note device this year and that the next Galaxy foldable smartphone would include S Pen functionality.

Instead of unveiling a new Galaxy Note device, TM Roh has announced that the company would continue to bring beloved Note features to other devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

The South Korean company stated that it has developed the first S Pen designed exclusively for foldable devices, but it did not elaborate on how it differs from the standard S Pen or how it will function on the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s smoother screen. The company hasn’t said whether the special S Pen will support gestures with Bluetooth. We should learn more about it at the August 11 event.

It was also confirmed that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 features a more “refined style, armed with more durable, stronger materials.”

The editorial also confirms that the new Galaxy Watches will run One UI Watch, which is based on Google’s WearOS 3.

The tech giant also confirmed that it will introduce Samsung Health and SmartThings to the WearOS 3. Samsung is working with Google and many more developers to introduce more and more apps to its next smartwatch series.

Samsung is working with more app developers to offer apps for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The phone will most likely have a more feature-rich Flex Mode, according to an editorial. Samsung always gives users more control over apps, data, and privacy, the editorial said.

Samsung is expected to announce new partnerships with Google and Microsoft at an event in New York. The company could also announce the names of popular apps that will deliver new experiences to its foldable smartphones like the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 next week.
