Health experts sound alarm against cosmetic face fillers

Health experts are sounding the alarm about cosmetic face fillers due to the risks of dangerous complications, particularly the accidental injection into blood vessels, which can lead to blindness, tissue death (necrosis), and facial deformity.

Recent research using ultrasound scans has highlighted the prevalence and severity of these potential issues.

Experts from the Brazilian University of São Paulo studied 100 cases of filler injections using ultrasound.
