The Trump administration has announced to cut off the refugee resettlement for next year.

According to the US Foreign Minister, the plan allows only 18,000 refugees to resettle in the United States in the 2020 fiscal year.

The submitted report allocates admissions by group of special humanitarian interests to the United States, which includes Iraqis who assisted soldiers of the States.

Most of the refugees are filed by migrants from Central America crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, who are a burden to the immigration system, the Minister said.

According to US media, Trump has made cutting immigration a centerpiece of his presidency. One of his first acts after assuming office in January 2017 was to issue an order capping the maximum number of refugees that year at 50,000, less than half the number.

The derision gathered huge criticism by the Human Rights Organisations, who termed it as one of the major human rights violations.
