Military conducts operation in Afghan province, Helmend

Special Forces killed Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters while doing investigation in Helmend Province Afghanistan.

Sources of Afghan media revealed that the forces killed 17 members of the Taliban group and 6 members of the Al-Qaeda group while doing the operation.

Afghan media had clarified that members of the Al-Qaeda group killed in operation belonged to Pakistan.

Before that, Afghan Security forces had killed 14 fighters and had kept several into prison in different operations held in Helmend last month.
Spokesperson of district governor Omar Zawak said that over 14 fighters, including 6 foreigners were killed in operations.

According to the statement released by defense ministries, 22 foreign Taliban fighters were killed and 14 were arrested in the operations in Musa Qila.

5 Pakistani national and 1 Bangladesh national were among the fighters arrested.
