The chiefs of staff of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states said that Gulf countries are militarily ready to address any threats or terrorist attacks.

According to the GCC statement issued after an extraordinary meeting was held in Riyadh on Thursday morning at Saudi Arabia’s request, the head of the Gulf States has said that an attack on a member of the GCC countries would be considered an attack on all Gulf States. The GCC countries’ forces will take stern action against the attackers.

The statement also said the attacks on Saudi Aramco oil facilities last month were “a flagrant violation of the security and safety of GCC states.”

According to the statement, the heads of the forces of the GCC countries emphasized that the Gulf countries should make joint efforts to deal with the threats and also to ensure collective peace.

In a meeting GCC emphasized to secure oil installations and the international sea. Heads of GCC countries are keen to tackle the threats facing the region. The current situation remains under discussion.

GCC chiefs of staff condemned the violation of airspace of some council members to carry out attacks against Saudi Arabia, and said that any attack on a GCC country is an attack on all members.

On September 14 Drone attacks have set Saudi Arabia’s two major oil facilities of Aramco on fire.

First drone hit Abqaiq, site of Aramco’s largest oil processing plant, while a second drone attack started fires in the Khurais oilfield.

Security teams have controlled the fire, which caused massive loss.

Drone attacks have been verified by the interior ministry of Saudi Arabia.

The US and Saudi Arabia have said that they believe the attack was carried out by Iran, and not by Houthi rebels.

However, Iran has denied involvement in the attack.
