Ukrainian President Volodymyr rejects PM’s resignation
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected Prime Minister’s resignation.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk had given resignation over the leaked audiotape scandal.
Volodymyr Zelensky said during a meeting, “I decided to give you a chance,”
However, he said that it depended on PM’s capability to handle the pressuring issues including salary issues of governors to keep his job.
A voice that sounded like PM’s voice said that President only has a “primitive” grasp of economics.
The audiotape appears to be revealed at the time during the time of Trump’s impeachment case.
The president declared the situation occurred after leaked tape as “very unpleasant.”
He said that the public has a great interest in the PM. Therefore, he rejected the resignation.
Zelensky said, “You have not yet repaid this loan to our society,”
Over 100 lawmakers have taken oath yesterday in the Senate for the beginning of the US President Donald Trump’s impeachment.
John Roberts, Chief justice of the Supreme Court, administered the oath to “do impartial justice” in the Senate.
Note that the trial will be started in the Senate on 21st January.
The senators will decide the fate of the President whether he should remain in office or not.
Chief Justice John Roberts said to the senators, “Do you solemnly swear that in all things appertaining to the trial of the impeachment of Donald John Trump, President of the United States, now pending, you will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and the laws, so help you, God?”
