US President Donald Trump has said the coronavirus task force will be disbanded.

Vice-President Mike Pence has suggested that the task force could be scattered within weeks.

Donald Trump visited a mask-making company in Arizona. He said, “We are bringing our country back,”

The US has the highest number of coronavirus cases in the world, the confirmed cases are 1,237,761. Out of these, 72,275 people have died whereas 200,669 have been recovered. The number of active cases is 964,817, according to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

During the tour, the President was wearing safety goggles and no face mask. He was asked it the mission was accomplished. He replied, “No, not at all. The mission accomplished is when it’s over.”

Critics say that the president is putting the lives at risk with his decision to reopen the businesses before re-election in November.

Donald Trump also said that Democrats were hoping his policy for coronavirus would fail “so they can win the election”.

he said, “I’m not saying anything is perfect, and yes, will some people be affected? Yes.

“Will some people be affected badly? Yes. But we have to get our country open and we have to get it open soon.”

Vice President Mike Pence had earlier said that they could disband the task force.
