On Sunday, floods wreak havoc on the Black Sea coast in Turkey, six people killed, and the other 10 persons are missing, including rescue workers.

The floods swept away the vehicle;es and debris on the main road of Dereli, which lies 12 miles (20 Kilometers) inland from the Black Sea. More than five inches of rain was recorded in less than a day.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Turkish Republic, Bekir Pakdemirli said from Dereli that,

“This is the first time I’ve seen such a natural disaster. The town’s skyline has changed.”

Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said 153 people had been rescued from the floods.

He went on to say that,

“98 villages in the region were cut off and 38 were without electricity. About 20 people were stranded in a wedding hall in Dereli.”

According to details, two of the police officers were dead as the floods swept away their vehicles. Their three colleagues and mechanical digger’s operator is among the missing people.

Officials said that 17 buildings across the province were destroyed and more than 360 were damaged.
