Clashes in the southern city of Malmo of Sweden resulted in cars being set on fire, shops and various institutions damaged and vandalized. The police has now brought things under control as they made several arrests.

Earlier on Friday, Swedish police barred a far right Danish politician, Rasmus Paludan from attending a Quran burning rally stating that there was a two-year entry ban on the politician. His supporters went ahead with the rally regardless.

The head of the Danish far-right Stram Kurs (Hard Line) party was given a month in jail for a string of offences all related to racism in Denmark.
