In Syria, between Wednesday and Thursday night, Israeli warplanes bombed Iranian militia positions near the capital, Damascus.

According to the Syrian state TV channel, the Syrian Defense Forces thwarted the Israeli airstrikes, Israeli planes tried to bomb Masyaf near Hama.

According to sources, the bombing targeted the bases of Iranian militias in Al-Zabdani, the site of Nabi Habel, west of Damascus.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a senior human rights watchdog, said Israeli warplanes had targeted the Air Force’s Damascus headquarters and Iranian militia bases.

According to the Observer Veterans, Israeli warplanes crossed Lebanese airspace into Syria and fired several missiles at Iranian militia positions near the Lebanese border west of Damascus.

A few days ago, Israel bombed and destroyed an Iranian research centre in Damascus, a defence equipment factory and an arms depot.

According to the Human Rights Center, ambulances were seen moving into the area after the bombing by Israeli planes, but it was not known how many lives were lost in the latest bombing.
