Makkah’s Grand Mosque will offer Iftar feast in the holy month of Ramadan, the emirate of Makkah announced on Monday.

According to the details, the emirate of Makkah has announced to grant permission for holding iftar meals at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

The feast will be distributed in residential neighbourhoods and streets across the city.

The concerned committee would receive applications from those willing to participate in the iftar feast.

However, the food items specified for the distribution includes food baskets for needy families, hot meals in outlets, and dry meals inside the Grand Mosque and in the residential neighbourhoods.

Previously in 2020, the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus outbreak had pushed the emirate to stop the sharing of iftar meals in the Grand Mosque.

Moreover, Iftar meals are distributed in the holy city to avoid racial discrimination and it brings together all belonging to different races.

The meals are organized an hour before the Maghrib prayer and half an hour before the fast-breaking, the meals are distributed.
