A volunteer Ukrainian warrior was abused by cruel Russian soldiers who chained him up and destroyed his face, gouging out his eyes and cutting off his tongue.

The guy, a member of the Bucha civilian self-defense squad, was discovered dead in an abandoned building after being tortured and executed by Vladimir Putin’s soldiers.

He still wore his helmet, which had the Latin inscription Voini Sveta.

It translates to “Warrior of Light,” a cry frequently used by Ukrainian revolutionaries who stood up to Russian influence before to the annexation of Crimea in 2014.

Ukrainian forces are moving back and reclaiming villages, but they are uncovering the actual tragedy of what the Russians have left behind – hundreds of dead people.

“This man was tortured for some time, his wrists were tied behind his back, his eyes were cut out, his tongue was cut out, his nose and ears were cut off, then he was shot with a muzzle in his mouth,” Serhii Chukmasov of Kyiv’s 206th Battalion told The Sun Online.

“This is only one of hundreds of examples of murder, torture, and rape in Bucha,” he claimed.

“The world must recognise this proof of Russia’s genocide in Ukraine and do all possible to prevent it from happening again.”

Pictures of the event were taken on April 4 when Ukrainian soldiers returned to Bucha.

It comes as Ukrainian authorities begin the arduous work of excavating a mass grave containing at least 400 fatalities this week.

Workers used a JCB digger to remove remains from the mud as Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned Russian soldiers of “inhuman brutality” toward civilians.

Meanwhile, Russia is thought to be launching a large social media effort to claim the Bucha tragedy was a “hoax.”

Last week, Russian lawmakers, foreign embassies, and official media used the phrase “Bucha” more than 1,000 times, according to the Alliance for Securing Democracy.

The campaign’s goal was to shift blame away from Russia and even to insinuate that the entire atrocity was a staged hoax.

In another study, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe — of which Russia is a member — stated that there were “obvious patterns” of Russian war crimes such as torture, rape, and murder.

In other news, Ukraine disclosed that invading soldiers raped at least 25 females, including a 14-year-old girl.

After being assaulted by Russian personnel in Bucha, at least nine women and girls are reported to be pregnant.

Lyudmyla Denisova, Ukraine’s human rights ombudsman, stated: ”

“Russian forces threatened to rape them until they refused to have sexual contact with any male, in order to prevent them from having Ukrainian children.”

“A 25-year-old lady called to report that her 16-year-old sister had been raped in the street in front of her.”

“She said that when they raped her sister, they yelled, ‘This will happen to every Nazi prostitute.'”

The heinous atrocities are among countless claims of Russian war crimes throughout the devastated state.

When asked if she could estimate the number of sexual crimes perpetrated by Russian forces during the occupation, Denisova responded: “It is now difficult since not everyone is ready to tell us what occurred to them.

“Because the bulk of them are now seeking psychological assistance, we cannot charge them with crimes unless they give us their testimony.”

She stated that Ukraine wants the United Nations to establish a special tribunal to investigate Russian President Vladimir Putin personally for claims of war crimes, including rape.

One 50-year-old lady, solely identified as Anna, told the BBC about her trauma on March 7.

“At gunpoint, he led me to a nearby residence.” ‘Take your clothes off or I’ll shoot you,’ he said. He repeatedly threatened to murder me if I didn’t do what he said. “Then he began raping me,” she explained.

Anna described her assailant as a young, slender Chechen warrior who was associated with Russia.

“Four more troops entered while he was raping me. I believed I was finished. But they kidnapped him. “I never saw him after that,” she claimed.

She claims she was rescued by a different troop of Russian soldiers.

She arrived home to find her spouse had been shot in the abdomen.

“He ran after me to help me, but he was struck by a bullet.”

Her spouse died from his injuries two days later.

Neighbors said another lady in her 40s was raped near Anna’s residence, probably by the same assailant who assaulted Anna.

They said the lady was being detained in a bedroom of a neighbouring house after the residents were evacuated once the battle began.

Oksana, a neighbour, told the BBC that Russian forces had discovered and buried the woman’s corpse. “They [Russian troops] informed me she had been raped, her neck had been sliced or stabbed, and she had bled to death.” There was a lot of blood, they said.”

When the corpse was excavated by detectives investigating the case, she was discovered naked and with a deep, lengthy cut across her neck.

Andrii Nebytov, the police commander of the Kyiv area, described a third example in a community 30 miles west of Kyiv, where a couple in their 30s was living with their small kid.

When the troops left, they set fire to the house and killed the family’s dogs.

The mother was able to flee with her son, and Mr Nebytov stated that his team visited with her and recorded her evidence.

Another horrific instance was a pregnant 16-year-old girl who recounted being raped at gunpoint by a Russian soldier.

Dasha, from the now-liberated town of Krasniva in Kherson Oblast, claimed she was hiding in a cellar with her family when the intoxicated soldier singled her out and assaulted her while her mother and brothers were in the next room.

According to the International Criminal Court’s head prosecutor, Karim Khan, Ukraine is now a crime scene.

And, for the first time, US Vice President Joe Biden has accused Russia of genocide. “I called it genocide,” he said.

“It’s becoming more and clearer that Putin is basically attempting to wipe out the notion of even being able to be a Ukrainian,” he concluded.

The Kremlin’s protestations ring hollow as an OSCE team of experts stated they had discovered convincing evidence of Russian war crimes.

They accused Russian troops of purposefully bombing hospitals, including a mother and baby unit in Mariupol, and discovered evidence of forced deportations to Russia as well as a failure to create humanitarian corridors.

According to its early findings, “Russian troops have participated in a broad and systematic pattern of damage to Ukrainian healthcare institutions by indiscriminate shelling and infiltration.”
