Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke via phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday (SPA), according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The crown prince reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for finding a political solution to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine during their phone call.

Putin and the crown prince “gave a positive assessment” of joint work in the OPEC+ format, according to a Kremlin statement.

According to OPEC, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, rising inflation as crude prices skyrocket, and the resurgence of the omicron coronavirus variant in China, the group has reduced its forecast for growth in world oil demand for 2022 on April 12.
