Senior US defense official says, Russia continues to add regiment in Ukraine
According to a military official, Russia intends to conquer Donbas in southern Ukraine.

A senior US defense official said on Thursday that Russia continues to strengthen its forces as it targets the east of Ukraine.
It has added three more battalion tactical groups since yesterday.
The total number of regiments, or BTGs have escalated to 85.
20 BTGs have been added since the past week.
The official said that the most BTGs are “going into the Donbas region.”

He added that they asses the tactical groups are going towards the Donbas region.
Yet, he cautioned he was uncertain, as to where the unit is going on any given day specifically.
