The United Kingdom is giving 22 new ambulances and medical equipment to Ukraine in response to a request from the country’s administration, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced.

It comes just weeks after Ukraine received a convoy of 20 ambulances to help it fight the Russian assault.

UK-Med, a medical aid charity that works on the front lines of disasters all over the world, has received a £300,000 grant to train Ukrainian doctors, nurses, and paramedics in coping with mass casualties.

In addition, the organization has been provided £300,000 in drugs and other pharmaceutical supplies to bring to Ukrainian medical personnel.

More than 40 fire engines have already arrived in Ukraine from the United Kingdom after the fighting destroyed more than 100 of the country’s fire stations and 250 fire engines.
