According to the UK defence ministry, Russia is planning to invade Kherson

The annexation of Kherson by Russia is underway, according to Britain’s defence ministry in an intelligence briefing on Saturday.

According to the daily briefing released on Twitter, the “Russian-imposed military-civilian administration” in the city in Ukraine’s south has stated that it will ask to join Russia.

“A key component of Russia’s original invasion plan was to utilise rigged referendums to place the majority of Ukraine’s regions under long-term pro-Russian control,” it continued.

The sole city to fall to Russia since the invasion, according to the ministry, demonstrating “Russia’s invasion failure to achieve its political aims in Ukraine.”

Russia will virtually probably sway any public vote on the issue, according to the briefing.
