MOSCOW: Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Alexei Zaitsev said on Friday,  that Russia will not use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

According to Zaitsev, Russia’s deployment of nuclear weapons-a concern that Western officials have openly addressedis not relevant to what Moscow refers to as its special military operation in Ukraine.

Given Russia’s losses in Ukraine, CIA Director William Burns stated on April 14 that “none of us can take lightly the threat posed by a potential resort to tactical nuclear weapons or low-yield nuclear weapons.”
