Danish police stormed the hotel of Team Bahrain on Thursday morning, just prior to the start of the Tour de France in Denmark.

The team announced the raid just a few days after similar searches were done on French homes and a year after their hotel was broken into during the Tour de France in 2021.

“Officers have searched all team vehicles, staff and riders’ rooms,” Bahrain stated.

During their two-hour check, the police apparently discovered no suspicious items.

“The team is now looking forward to focusing on the greatest cycling race in the world, the Tour de France.”

The team has not been charged following the search and confiscation of items during the 2021 Tour.
