According to Britain’s defence minister, Russia has gained control of the majority of Ukraine’s industrial city of Sievierodonetsk.

Ukraine was likely in control of the river line at crossing places between Sievierodonetsk and the neighbouring town of Lysychansk, as well as in the city of Lyman, according to Britain.

Ukrainian forces have demolished existing bridges on both sites, according to the intelligence update released on Twitter by the ministry.
