When asked about French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks that it was necessary not to “humiliate” Moscow, which were perceived in Ukraine as meaning that some demands must be met, Zelenskiy stated, “We are not going to humiliate anyone, we will answer in kind.”
Serhiy Gaidai, the governor of the Luhansk region, claimed the defenders were having difficulty repelling Russian attacks in the heart of Sievierodonetsk.
According to Zelenskiy, the most challenging sites are Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, and Popasna.
Moscow stated its soldiers were making progress, while Zelenskiy said Donbas’ “great defence” was still going on. Reuters could not independently verify the situation on the ground.
