Ukrainian drone targets Russian oil depot in ongoing conflict
A large fire erupted over a significant area of a southern Russian oil storage depot after a Ukrainian drone reportedly struck it, according to officials. Russian media indicates that the blaze engulfed four oil tanks, spreading across a 1,000 sq m (10,763 sq ft) area.
Authorities in the Bryansk region report no injuries, asserting that the drone was intercepted near the town of Klintsy, with its explosives subsequently falling on the oil depot.
This marks the second drone attack on Russian oil facilities in as many days, following an unprecedented strike on a major oil loading terminal in St Petersburg.
Ukrainian Strategic Industries Minister Oleksandr Kamyshin confirmed the attack, stating, ‘Yes, last night we hit the target. This thing crossed 1,250km (776 miles) last night.’
