An Asian-American family, subjected to threats and racial slurs in a Los Angeles fast-food restaurant drive-thru last month, resulting in many injuries.
Nerissa, 47, and Patricia Roque, 19, both of Filipino descent, struck by the cars from behind while in line at a McDonald’s in North Hollywood.
According to the family’s attorney, the motorist approached Roque’s car after the crash and began yelling racist obscenities.
He allegedly then threatened, “I’ll murder you.” The women alerted the authorities.
Patricia’s father, Gabriel Roque, 62, arrived at the drive-thru from the family home to halt the alleged attack. According to the family, he suffered a cracked rib and a sore arm during the physical altercation.
“This was the most terrible event we’d ever had. I was afraid the guy would kill us because of our appearance – since we are Asian.

A passerby intervened and assisted in subduing the suspect until the cops arrived. According to the family, officials have not taken the situation seriously.
During a rally outside the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in Van Nuys on Friday, they urged that he be charged.
