Pakistan has won back-to-back three matches in the ICC t20 World Cup against India, Nw Zealand, and Afghanistan.
All-rounder Shoaib Malik held a virtual press conference where he talked about the national team’s performance.
He said that national players are all confident after winning three matches in a row. This has given them confidence. He also added that winning against big sides gives confidence.
When Pakistan won against their arch-rivals India by 10 wickets, this boosted the morale of the players which helped them win the next two matches against New Zealand and Afghanistan, respectively.
Malik said that every team in the tournament is aiming for a win.
Malik said: “I have seen all the players united since joining the team.” He added that the players have supported each other since their training sessions in Lahore and all the way to Dubai.
During the conference when he was asked about Hasan Ali and how he has been the match-winner for the team. He said that he has been winning matches for Pakistan. He added that a player cannot be judged for his bad performance in just one or two matches. He added that Hasan has the full support of the team.
While talking about skipper Babar Azam, he said that Babar has evolved since he started his cricketing career.
Babar Azam has played 31 matches since 2019 after he became the captain 0f the national team. He proved to be successful in every way possible.
He is currently the top batsman in ODIS and third in T20Is. He has broken records of many players including the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle and India skipper Virat Kohli.
Pakistan is set to play against Namibia on November 2 and Scotland on November 7.
Pakistan started their T20 World Cup campaign by beating arch-rival India by 10 wickets on October 24. Later on October 26, Pakistan registered their second victory against New Zealand by five wickets. With a third win against Afghanistan, Pakistan has secured its spot in the semifinals, which will be played on November 10 and 11. The T20 World Cup will conclude with the finale on November 14 at the Dubai International Stadium.
