When a Jack Russell terrier raced the bases in 21.06 seconds at Dodger Stadium, he set a Guinness World Record.
Lori Signs, the dog’s owner, and trainer placed balloons at each of the bases to encourage Macho to touch each one and pop them as he passed.
Signs told the media prior to Macho’s run, “I didn’t sleep at all, nervous jitters.”
He added, “No matter what, he is still a dog. There could be a stray pigeon, a gopher, or a leaf that falls. We were all just holding our breath.”
Macho was able to beat Guinness’ goal time of 24 seconds. The dog received a certificate for running the bases in the quickest time in a Major League Baseball stadium.
According to signs, “He was perfect.”
“He hit a grand slam home run. It was amazing. I am so proud.”
Macho was reportedly honored for his world-record-breaking feat with a prime rib supper, according to signs.
