- James May believes a new format is necessary.
James May, a former Top Gear presenter, has expressed the need for a revamp of the show’s format following the British Broadcasting Corporation’s (BBC) decision to halt production.
The show was taken off air after host and ex-cricketer Freddie Flintoff suffered severe injuries during filming last year.
May, who co-hosted with Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond, believes a new format is necessary, stating, “It’s time for a new approach to the subject because the subject has not been this interesting, I suspect, since the car has been invented.”
May ruled out a return to the series and emphasized the need for a fresh perspective in presenting car-related content.
