Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported a noticeable increase in the chill during Karachi’s nights and early mornings, while daytime conditions are expected to remain warm and dry.
A layer of fog covered the city early this morning, reducing visibility to nearly 5 kilometres.
Karachi recorded a minimum temperature of 15.5°C, with the maximum expected to reach 30°C today.
The humidity level stood at 41%, and light winds were blowing from the east at 7 km/h.
According to the PMD, the sky will remain clear throughout the day, and no rainfall is expected in the city until next week.
A slight rise in cold conditions is likely to begin after November 22.
Weather conditions across Pakistan:
The PMD says that most parts of the country are likely to experience dry weather today. Upper regions are expected to remain cold, while northern areas may witness a further drop in both day and night temperatures in the coming days.
In Punjab, smog is likely to persist in the plains, with light fog expected during the late-night and early-morning hours at a few locations.
In Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, the weather is forecast to remain very cold during night-time, with chilly conditions dominating both morning and evening periods.
Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will remain dry, while the province’s mountainous regions are expected to face severely cold weather.
In Sindh and Balochistan, dry conditions will prevail in most districts. However, northern parts of Balochistan are likely to remain cold, becoming severely cold during the night and early morning, according to the PMD.
