Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) announced a new initiative to make identity document services more accessible for millions of Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia, aiming to spare residents the burden of traveling long distances for documentation.
According to the announcement, NADRA’s mobile registration team will travel to Saudi Arabia as part of the initiative, working alongside the Pakistani Embassy to serve the local Pakistani community.
The special registration camp will be set up at the Pakistan Embassy’s new camp in Riyadh, operating over two days, July 24 and July 25, covering both Friday and Saturday.
NADRA said Pakistani citizens living in Saudi Arabia will be able to apply for the issuance, modification, and renewal of identity documents through the mobile registration facility, applicants are advised to bring all relevant supporting documents needed for their specific application.
The Riyadh initiative follows NADRA’s earlier rollout of an upgraded version of its Pak ID mobile app, designed to make it easier for citizens to apply for identity cards online.
According to NADRA, the updated Pak ID app includes a new “See the Card” feature allowing applicants to preview a digital version of their identity card before finalizing their application.

Under a related update to the system, pensioners can now confirm their proof of life status directly through the Pak ID mobile app offering a more convenient alternative to in person verification processes previously required to maintain pension eligibility.
Together, these initiatives reflect NADRA’s ongoing effort to modernize identity services both at home and abroad, particularly for Pakistan’s large overseas population.
