OGRA raises Kerosene price by Rs11.19 in latest fuel price review

The increase follows a rise in global oil prices after renewed tensions between the United States and Iran.

Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of kerosene oil by Rs11.19 per liter as part of its latest fuel price review.

According to the latest notification, the new price of kerosene oil is Rs242.33 per liter. The revised rate takes effect immediately and will remain in place for the next review period.

The increase is part of the government’s latest adjustment to petroleum product prices. Petrol and high speed diesel prices have also gone up.

The government announced that the price of petrol has increased by Rs13.18 per liter, bringing the new price to Rs310.71 per liter. The price of high speed diesel (HSD) has risen by Rs13.80 per liter, taking it to Rs323.30 per liter.

The Petroleum Division issued the official notification confirming the revised fuel prices, officials said the increase follows a rise in global oil prices after renewed tensions between the United States and Iran. Higher international crude oil prices have increased the cost of imported petroleum products, leading to the latest adjustment in domestic fuel prices.

Earlier reports had predicted a similar increase, saying petrol could rise by around Rs13 per liter and diesel by nearly Rs14 per liter. The official notification largely matched those estimates.

The revised fuel prices, including petrol, diesel and kerosene oil, will remain effective until the government announces the next review.
