MIRPUR: Pakistan set a target of 275 runs for Bangladesh in the second One Day International (ODI) after being bowled out for 274 in the 48th over.
Young batter Muaz Sadaqat played a brilliant knock, scoring 75 runs off 46 balls. His aggressive innings included six fours and five sixes, giving Pakistan crucial momentum in the middle overs.
Vice-captain Salman Ali Agha also made a valuable contribution with 64 runs, hitting seven fours and two sixes. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan added 44 runs, while opener Sahibzada Farhan scored 31. All-rounder Faheem Ashraf chipped in with 14 runs.
For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain claimed three wickets, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz took two.
The match, being played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, saw Bangladesh win the toss and opt to field first against the side led by Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Pakistan’s playing XI includes Sahibzada Farhan, Muaz Sadaqat, Shamyl Hussain, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Hussain Talat, Abdul Samad, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Wasim Jr.
It is worth mentioning that Bangladesh won the first ODI of the three-match series by eight wickets, taking a 1–0 lead.
