Cloudy skies and scattered light drizzle brought temporary relief to the city Sunday morning, with rain reported in Baldia Town, Sher-Shah, Gulbai and Lyari.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department recorded a temperature of about 30 degrees Celsius, with humid conditions persisting under mostly cloudy skies.
The overcast conditions replaced the region’s typical strong sunshine, creating a cooler atmosphere across much of the city. The light showers provided a brief respite from the heat, though humidity remained high, making conditions feel warmer than the measured temperature, the department said.
Karachi frequently experiences warm and humid weather during this time of year. Sunday’s cloud cover and light rain reduced heat intensity in some areas while offering a visual change, with dark clouds lingering over the city for much of the day.
Meteorologists said the combination of clouds, moisture and light winds kept conditions comfortable in some neighborhoods but maintained an overall humid environment.
