Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar received a guard of honour upon his arrival at Bayan Palace in Kuwait on Wednesday.
Kuwaiti Interior Minister Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah welcomed the prime minister, and a contingent of Kuwaiti static guards saluted the visiting dignitary.
The national anthems of both countries were played during the ceremony.
PM Kakar was introduced to Kuwaiti cabinet members and officials.
Subsequently, he met with Kuwaiti leadership, including Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The PM’s delegation included Interim Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar, Energy Minister Muhammad Ali, Commerce Minister Gauhar Ejaz, Climate Change Minister Ahmed Irfan Aslam, and Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi.
