Prince Harry revealed that he was bullied in school because of his hair color despite his royal status.
The Duke of Sussex made the comments during an appearance on Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast, where he was asked what people misunderstand about him most.
Harry replied, “That I’m not ginger.”
Joe Marler responded with surprise, asking, “People get that wrong?”
Harry explained that many people think he is ginger, but he describes his hair color as “sunset orange” or “auburn.” He added that he does not understand why people find it funny.
Marler joked with his crew, asking them not to laugh at the duke.
Harry then shared that he was often bullied at school and was given the nickname “Carrot Top” because of his hair color.
Marler responded that he did not understand why people would make fun of it and said it was not funny.
Harry laughed and joked that he would need therapy after the conversation.
Later in the podcast, Harry was asked whether he would swap lives for a day with Harry Styles, Harry Kane or Harry Potter. He said he would choose Harry Kane, but only “on a winning day.”
He joked that no one would want to be Kane after a loss.
Harry also spoke about his family, saying that at the beginning of his relationship with Meghan Markle, he believed the ginger gene would not be stronger than his wife’s genes if they had children. He added that he was wrong.
