KARACHI: Shehzad Roy and Tabish Hashmi are joining forces for a U.S. charity tour aimed at transforming Pakistan’s education system and creating better learning opportunities for children to support Zindagi Trust’s mission in Pakistan.
The tour will take place from Sept. 18 to Sept. 25. Roy and Hashmi will visit six U.S. cities to raise awareness and collect funds for government school reforms.
Roy shared the announcement in a video on Instagram. He said the campaign will highlight the importance of quality education and show how Zindagi Trust is improving Pakistan’s public school system. He added that every child deserves access to quality education.
In the video, Roy said no child should have to fight for the right to receive a good education. He also stressed the need to improve the teaching profession. He called for proper licensing and professional qualifications for teachers across the country.
“That time is not far when people in Pakistan won’t have to beg for education, and parents will confidently send their children to government schools because they know they will learn from the best local teachers,” Roy said.

Roy said he invited Tabish Hashmi because he strongly believes in the trust’s mission. He described Hashmi as a talented entertainer who will bring joy to audiences while helping promote the importance of education.
The fundraising tour will stop in Chicago, New Jersey, Washington, Dallas, Houston and San Francisco. Roy encouraged the Pakistani community in the United States to attend the events, learn about Zindagi Trust’s work and support future education projects.
For many years, Roy has remained one of Pakistan’s strongest advocates for children’s rights and education reform. Through Zindagi Trust, he has worked to improve government schools and create better learning opportunities for students. The organization has also supported teacher training and promoted long-term improvements in public education.
Roy said the upcoming tour will allow supporters to see the progress made by Zindagi Trust and understand the work that still needs to be done. He believes public support can help create lasting change in Pakistan’s education system.
