Donald Trump has sharply criticized Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance, calling it one of the worst shows in the event’s history. The president shared his reaction on Truth Social shortly after the performance aired.

In his post, Trump described the show as “absolutely terrible,” arguing that it failed to reflect what he called American values of “success, creativity, and excellence.” He also claimed the performance was confusing to viewers, stating that many would not understand the lyrics and that the choreography was inappropriate for younger audiences watching both in the U.S. and abroad.

Trump further labeled the halftime show a “slap in the face” to the country, contrasting it with what he said were record-breaking achievements in the economy, including the stock market and retirement accounts. He added that the performance lacked inspiration and predicted it would still receive positive coverage from what he referred to as the “fake news media.”

In the same statement, Trump briefly shifted focus to the NFL, calling for the league to reverse its recently introduced kickoff rule before signing off with his familiar campaign slogan.

Despite Trump’s criticism, Bad Bunny avoided overt political messaging during the halftime show, instead emphasizing themes of love and unity. While the Puerto Rican artist has previously spoken out against Trump and his policies, his Super Bowl performance did not directly reference politics.
