A gardener in Oklahoma is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the tallest okra plant in the world: a 13-foot-tall okra plant.
Linda Compton of Claremore said she planted the okra with regular Walmart seeds and hasn’t used any extra fertilizer or pesticides.
Compton tells the media about her plants, “love the Claremore dirt, lots of water, and one other thing — they like my music.”
According to the gardener, the Guinness World Record for tallest okra plant is 10 feet, 5 inches, but her plant has already reached 13 feet, 6 inches — and it’s still growing.
Compton stated that she has contacted the record-keeping organization in order to get her okra plant acknowledged.
